Yogurtini’s tangy toilets meet multitasking needs

Yogurtini is a fresh and futuristic yogurt joint at CityScape. Since opening doors in August 2011, it has been a popular yogurt site for ASU Downtown students. After grabbing a bite at Chipotle and checking out their restrooms, Yogurtini is delicious place to go for some light dessert and an overall delightful bathroom experience.

Good thing toilet paper theft isn’t common in this neighborhood.

The Restroom Roundup

Cleanliness: Although Yogurtini’s restroom is fairly clean, scuffmarks decorate the bottom of the walls, creating a worn effect. Additionally, a container for the toilet paper roll is absent. The toilet paper roll just balances on the handrail, like a gymnast on the beam. I wonder how many times it has rolled off onto the floor… Grade: B

The Green Effect: Yogurtini’s restroom provides an innovative solution to lighting over-use. A motion sensor triggers the overhead light, ensuring that the light will only be on if someone is moving in the room. This could be problematic, however, for patrons who enjoy especially long sessions on the toilet. Grade: B

Pizazz: Bright blue and sea green walls illuminate the restroom, giving it a fresh, happy feeling. Music softly flows from the speaker on the ceiling, allowing patrons to stay up to date on popular music while using the toilet. Grade: B+

Air freshener, motion sensor light and baby changing table? This bathroom has it all.

The Intangibles: Got a baby? Bring it here! With a baby-changing station, this bathroom is outfitted for one. (Note: In this context baby means very small child, not adult lover). Don’t have a baby but have a phone almost out of battery? Then this bathroom is for you too! A lovely electrical socket is conveniently placed next to the sink to ensure that multi-tasking will not be a problem. Grade: B+

Final Verdict (not an average): B+

In the modern day era, bathrooms are not just for using the toilet. If you need to charge a cell phone, curl your hair, steal a roll of toilet paper or listen to some soothing music, Yogurtini’s restroom is probably where you need to be. Or perhaps you miss the ocean and want to look at some ocean-colored walls. Either way, Yogurtini’s bathroom provides a zesty color experience and enables patrons to fully engage in the art of multi-tasking.
